Executive Director 

Ballet Kelowna, situated in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, is one of Canada’s ten professional ballet companies and seeks an experienced Executive Director. As the senior administrative staff member of Ballet Kelowna, the Executive Director works in partnership with the President, Board and Artistic Director to fulfill the Mission Statement of the Society.

Qualifications:
·     Experience in managing small and growing organizations, preferably in the ‘Social Business’ (aka Not-for-Profit) sector;
·     Management experience working with volunteer boards and committees;
·     Post-secondary education in arts and/or business management, or equivalent;
·     Experience in strategic planning, financial management and project management;
·     Knowledge and a proven track record in fundraising including individual donor cultivation, grant writing and procuring sponsorships and in-kind contributions;
·     Knowledge of and experience in audience development and marketing;
·     An appreciation for ballet and its value as an art in Canada;
·     Strong written and oral communication skills; and
·     Computer competency with programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and related programs.
