Take six beautiful private homes, 12 talented designers, over 20,000 energy efficient mini lights, a few cases of bubbly, a mile of sweet treats, enough chocolate to pave Hwy 97, and 1000 fans of Christmas and you have Hot Holiday Homes.
Hot Holiday Homes is a self-guided tour of warm, welcoming, private homes that will get you in the spirit for your own holiday decorating. Sponsored by Re/Max, tours will be held over two days, Friday, November 11th and Saturday, November 12th from 4:00 - 9:00 pm celebrating the season while raising funds for Ballet Kelowna.
This community event is spearheaded by local dynamo Debbie MacMillan, Special Events Coordinator for Ballet Kelowna, who promises not only inspiration for your own holiday decorating but a great night out while enjoying a real home atmosphere filled with the sights, sounds & smells of the season. "Everyone loves this tour. It gives them the opportunity to get behind ordinarily closed doors of private homes and be inspired for the holidays. The homeowners and all of our sponsors are extremely generous to make this event possible for the community."
Six beautiful private homes will be decorated by proud homeowners and talented designers for the tour. Designers include Fowler Interior Design, Barbie Ross, Sticks and Stones Design Group, St. Nicholas Ave., Home at Last Interiors, LBV Design Dress Décor, olive & elle, Nesbitt Originals, Okanagan Dream Builders and Suzanne Petti.
The decorated homes:
Hot Holiday Homes will be especially bright this season with the help of FortisBC who contributed over 20,000 energy efficient mini lights to our homeowners to help with the decorating. These LED lights use 80% less power than regular mini lights and will burn an average of 20,000 hours lasting long after Hot Holiday Homes & the Christmas season have passed.
Tickets can be purcased online or Art Knapp, Bylands, LBV Design Dress Décor, olive & elle, Picture Perfect, or Rick's Garden World. Tickets are $45.
