The Ultimate Vancouver Dinner

The venue – one of Vancouver’s most dramatic mansions, located in the city’s equestrian area known as Southlands. The hosts – food editor Jamie Maw and his fiancée Yvonne Drinovz, the property’s owner, acclaimed artist Shannon Belkin, and Mission Hill Family Estate’s Ingo Grady.

The evening for 8 guests begins with wine around the swimming pool, then a tour of Shannon’s studio where massive photo-realist portraits are displayed, as well as works in progress.

Then it’s time to proceed to the dramatic al fresco courtyard, where a roaring fire and well-set table awaits. One of Canada’s premier chefs,

Quang Dang of West Restaurant+Bar, and his brigade will be busy all day, preparing a multi-course tasting menu based on British Columbia’s most pristine ingredients. And a portfolio of premium wines, matched to each course, from Mission Hill Family Estate Winery and Mark Anthony Brands.

Chef Dang will introduce each course, and Ingo Grady will introduce each wine.

The spectacular modern home of Lori Van Rooijen and Courtney Shearer will play host as eight of you gather for an informal but elegant summer dinner party.

Guests will meet in the wine cellar for a tasting of the evening's vintages from Le Vieux Pin. Then it's up to the verandah to enjoy a sunset cocktail and hors d'oeuvres from master chef Roger Planiden, former Executive Chef of the Fairmont Vancouver Airport Hotel and now proprietor of Chef Planiden's Culinary Adventures.
